Way back in Highschool, this was my dad's signature dish every lunch that my friends enjoyed. It was just a simple dish but as per my dad would say, you should know when to put it so as not to overcooked it.

Here's the ingredients :
1. 1/4 Kilo of Mongo
2. 1 pack of Quickchow Noodles
3. 3 pieces of Cayenne Pepper ("Sili Espada" in Bisaya)

For how to cook it, I haven't talked to my dad about it (hehhe).

This is amazingly delicious and spicy :)

It has been long time since I had this. And this reminds me of all the fun memories I had in highschool. Damn, this makes me miss some old friends . tsk tsk.

Bon Appetit.

A few months ago, my friends invited me to watch a movie. They decided to meet up at Figaro (Ayala Branch). I quite know the place since it was not hard to look for it when you reach Ayala Terraces.

The place was quite full at that time so we kindda had hard time in finding the perfect spot to stay when we got here. Since it took us long before we get to buy the movie ticket, I got hungry. So I ordered something here.

I did not know much the bestseller dishes in this place so I asked for advise from the waiter near the counter. He suggested me to try Chicken Tetrazzini (whoa!! I sound italian just by saying its name hahhaah) .Based on research, this is kind of chicken pasta with Parmesan cheese and creamy mushroom sauce.

This dish was tasty enough to almost had me ordering for another. hehehe. Yeah! this was definitely DELICIOUS.

I'm looking forward to get back here and have a full course meal:)

Till then.

Bon Appetit.

After 2 hours of badminton game, we dropped by here in Off-road's Charlie's Corner to feed our starving stomachs :)

Well the resto had a band that time. And the girl vocalist was really great. I mean, she sang my favorite song "Runaway" by The Corrs and nailed it. hehe

One of my friends ordered what appears to be like an omelet rice with Tocino. As per her, it was really good.

On the other hand, I ordered Oriental Spicy chicken. It was just ok since I did not enjoy this dish much. I prefer the one at Bonchon though.

I may not have the best culinary experience here but the place and the music still makes this place worth the visit.

Till next good time!!

Hearing Handuraw reminds me of my college days when my barkada used to hang out here sometimes. So when a friend invited me to Handuraw I was eager to come. Well, I thought we were heading the one near UP. But to my surprise, we went to JY Square and in the far end is their another branch (Sweet!)

It's pretty quiet here since it's very secluded place. And the serving capacity of the store is mostly likely 20 people at max. There is no band but they have music (one time I heard them playing Pusong Bato! lol).

What I love here is their Below Zero beer. Well, if you do drink beer, you'd flock here since the beer taste good in below zero temperature ^___^..

We also did order their meat overload pizza. It was good as well.

I love to spend some time here since it quite and not much people. This will definitely in my Place-to-be-Chillin place now :)

Bon Appetit.

To be honest, I just had a play of words on the title for this post. It's really not a factory of spaghetti per se. But somehow closer. Well, majority of the dishes served here were pastas or noodles.

Actually, I was really talking about Spaghetti Factory in Ayala Center Cebu. This just beside or at the back of Dessert Factory. If my memory is correct, this franchise was owned by my literature teacher. Well, I saw her when I was here ^______^ ..

On the platter

Anyways, we were hungry and decided to eat dinner here. This was not my first time. But it's been awhile since my last meal so I kindda missed this place.

So when we got here, I was a little excited what to try this time. The meal I had here from my previous visits were delicious enough to had me coming back.

In the menu, we ordered the following :

For Appetizer : Creamy Spinach Dip (new)
For The Main Course : Beef Tenderloin
For Dessert : Tiramisu & Mango Crepe

THE APPETIZER

  Creamy Spinach Dip
I had tried the spinach dip in Oh Georg (Ayala Branch of Cafe Georg) restaurant. However compared to the one I had with Spaghetti Factory, it has less spinach. I am a fan of vegetables so I'd prefer this one.

THE MAIN COURSE

When I ordered this Beef Tenderloin, I had Baby Back Ribs in mind. So I was a little shocked when my order arrived. I was a little skeptic if this was tasty. And after a few bites, I could say it is pretty good and creamy.

THE DESSERT

We wanted to try the best desserts they had to offer. So we ordered Tiramisu and Mango Crepe. The mango crepe overpowered our taste buds from tIramisu. But both were very delicious  And you cant go wrong with choosing the crepe since when it was served to us, it was good for two people.

We had a very good dinning experience here. The staff were as accommodating as they should be. It was never a wrong choice to drop by again.

Very well done Spaghetti Factory!!

A foodie friend from Japan asked us to have a dinner somewhere just to somehow catch up with a few things with the rest of the circle.

So Ethz (another foodie friend) coordinated with me for a nice place to eat. After a few checks, we came to decide to eat at 30 Kitchen.

Well, Ethz did some research and as per her, 30 Kitchen had good reviews. So we went there last 08/14/2013 to have our dinner.

The restaurant was located at The Gallery, Lahug Cebu City. It was kindda small so if you are planning to have like 10-20 people, you might think twice spending it there. What caught our attention was the chair inside the resto. It was short like a kiddie chair wahaha.. You can barely lend back cause you might fall.

After we made ourselves comfortable in our seats, we asked for the menu. Well, the prices were in Casa Verda and Mooon Cafe range. So, we ordered the following :
  • Pork Steak - common dish so I want to know how they prepare this

  • Pork Schnitzel - sounds foreign for me :)
  • Belly Crunch - sound new to me as well :)

After 15-20 mins, our orders arrived. The Belly Crunch dish was good for two I guess. Then proceeded with the nam-nam session (eating).

So here's what I could say.
  • Pork Steak - I have eaten pork steak before but this is different. I loved the sauce. A very delicious combination of the pork and the sauce.
  • Pork Schnitzel - A very tasty combination of pork and sauce as well. The sauce in this dish was a lot creamier than the later.
  • Belly Crunch - more like a battered beef to me. It was tasty as well.

All in all, we were satisfied for the dishes we ordered. We had good time also talking about things had happened in the past few months that we haven't seen each other.

So that concludes my visit in 30 Kitchen.

Today, I joined R399 fun run. It was a fun run organized by the friends and families (with sponsors) of Dr. Ramie Igana.

To cut the story short, I ran for almost 40 mins in the 6K trail. And I had myself to congratulate on that. The end of the race was at Ayala Terraces which was around 8 am so we decided to take some breakfast meals before going elsewhere.

Since I already had breakfast at BO's Coffee last time, I suggested Pancake House.

Actually, this is not the first time I ate here. It's my second. However, this is my first breakfast in this place. The previous one I had was a dinner.

When we got here, I browsed the menu and looked for something interesting. So I asked the lady who accommodated us for a quick to cook meal. But she said, all dishes in the menu takes up to 10-15 mins to be served. Oh well. Then I ordered Classic Pancake (2 piece) and a Warm Pot Salad. Yes, you read it right. I ordered a Warm salad. Well, I had cold noodles in Yakiniku and it was delicious so I got interested by this warm salad.

As it was served, I cant helped but say "Aww, quite big and beautiful". Look at the picture below and you'll see what I mean.

It's sliced boiled potato with cheese and bacon salad. I had quite a hard time finishing this up. Well maybe since I already had 4 glasses of cold water because of thirst before I had this:). It was very delicious!! ^____^ I love it.

Then after a few minutes, my pancakes arrived.

It was a tasty treat as well. I did had hard time finishing this up as well since I had the warm salad with this.

Although I deviated from the usual breakfast I have, my tastebuds were happy and my stomach was full. It was a good breakfast at Pancake house.

Note : I had to say the accommodation of the staff was welcoming as well.

Try dropping by at Pancake House for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So far, they've served me well as a foodie.

This happened a few months ago when I had my training on Internal Quality Audit by TUV SUD at Alpa City Suites last May 9-10, 2013.

Getting there in Alpha Suites was as easy as a walk in the park for me who easily gets lost. Why? Because you can never miss this if you are on the way to Sykes. And there is a huge label - ALPA CITY SUITES.

Anyways, I won't be sharing my training cause you might lose your appetite. What I was about to share was the food served in the training. Well, I guess most of them are very familiar dishes that you can get almost any restos here in Cebu. But what made these tasty was the presentation and the reason that these was for free wahahha. Aside from that, the food were really delicious.

These were the few tasty treats I tried while under training:

Pancakes in the House!

Sumptuous mushroom soup! :)

This is their very tasty salad.

Beef something meal ^__^ Sorry I forgot the name

I was really not sure what was the name of this dish when this was served. This was just leche plan haha. Presentation was cool enough :)

Note: I was too lazy to relabel the photo :) Sorry but it's not Alpa Suites, it's Alpa City Suites :)

The training was good and so was the food. They also serve breakfast buffets.
I can't to try their breakfast buffet :)

If you want to check them out, here's where you can find them :

Till then.

Bon Appetit.

Last Aug. 03, 2013, a friend of mine suggested we do a little practice run in preparation for some event later this month. So we started the run around 6am in the morning. And it took us almost an hour or so to run 10 km (including passing through 2 bridges; The 1st and 2nd bridges).

This left us an empty stomach grieving for a sumptuous breakfast. It was around 8, I guess that we had trouble deciding where to eat. But then we decided to go to Bo's Coffee (Ayala Branch).

I am not fan with coffee or coffee shops (because of the smell of coffee). So, I don't go or do spent some culinary escapades in them. That being said, this was my first time in Bo's coffee (Ayala Branch). There were a few people in the shop when we arrived (Well, I guess it was too early to be hanging around shops anyway.) Then, one of us approached the counter and did the ordering.

I was looking up for the menu but saw only coffee and some hot and cold drinks. But then I noticed a small menu list near the counter. Geez. It was there all along.

There were familiar names on the list. But I saw no rice :) . So I asked if they had a rice meal. To my dismay, they only had bread toasts or pancakes to pair with the meal :(

Quite brokenhearted, I picked the less conspicuous in the list : Corned Beef Omelet pair with Bread toast and hot choco which cost PHP 150.00. Actually, I was happy I had to chose hot choco from coffee :) .

After paying, we went to our seats. Okay one thing I like in this place was the seat :) In enjoying what you eat, another important thing to consider other than the meal itself is the whole seat-table set up as well. I sat comfortably in my chair waiting for my order :)

The hot choco arrived first. It took me a few sec to notice that there was some design on the choco. I guess it is a heart on something though whahha :) I hurriedly took a shot of it

Then, the meal came after a few minutes.
First I thought there was a scope of ice scream :) but it was just butter wahahahaha. I was fooled :)

After nam-nam-nam-nam mode, I could say that my breakfast was delicious. I don't know if it had to do with my very hungry stomach or the whole hot choco-meal combo. I really enjoyed what I ate. It may not be that epic breakfast I had, but definitely one of the breakfast experiences I will do over again :)

Happy to spent a breakfast culinary escapade in Bo's coffee.

If want to check them out, you can find them in :

Bon Apetit.
