Hearing Handuraw reminds me of my college days when my barkada used to hang out here sometimes. So when a friend invited me to Handuraw I was eager to come. Well, I thought we were heading the one near UP. But to my surprise, we went to JY Square and in the far end is their another branch (Sweet!)

It's pretty quiet here since it's very secluded place. And the serving capacity of the store is mostly likely 20 people at max. There is no band but they have music (one time I heard them playing Pusong Bato! lol).

What I love here is their Below Zero beer. Well, if you do drink beer, you'd flock here since the beer taste good in below zero temperature ^___^..

We also did order their meat overload pizza. It was good as well.

I love to spend some time here since it quite and not much people. This will definitely in my Place-to-be-Chillin place now :)

To be honest, I just had a play of words on the title for this post. It's really not a factory of spaghetti per se. But somehow closer. Well, majority of the dishes served here were pastas or noodles.

Actually, I was really talking about Spaghetti Factory in Ayala Center Cebu. This just beside or at the back of Dessert Factory. If my memory is correct, this franchise was owned by my literature teacher. Well, I saw her when I was here ^______^ ..

On the platter

Anyways, we were hungry and decided to eat dinner here. This was not my first time. But it's been awhile since my last meal so I kindda missed this place.

So when we got here, I was a little excited what to try this time. The meal I had here from my previous visits were delicious enough to had me coming back.

In the menu, we ordered the following :

For Appetizer : Creamy Spinach Dip (new)
For The Main Course : Beef Tenderloin
For Dessert : Tiramisu & Mango Crepe

THE APPETIZER

  Creamy Spinach Dip
I had tried the spinach dip in Oh Georg (Ayala Branch of Cafe Georg) restaurant. However compared to the one I had with Spaghetti Factory, it has less spinach. I am a fan of vegetables so I'd prefer this one.

THE MAIN COURSE

When I ordered this Beef Tenderloin, I had Baby Back Ribs in mind. So I was a little shocked when my order arrived. I was a little skeptic if this was tasty. And after a few bites, I could say it is pretty good and creamy.

THE DESSERT

We wanted to try the best desserts they had to offer. So we ordered Tiramisu and Mango Crepe. The mango crepe overpowered our taste buds from tIramisu. But both were very delicious  And you cant go wrong with choosing the crepe since when it was served to us, it was good for two people.

We had a very good dinning experience here. The staff were as accommodating as they should be. It was never a wrong choice to drop by again.

Very well done Spaghetti Factory!!

Till next foodie trip!

A foodie friend from Japan asked us to have a dinner somewhere just to somehow catch up with a few things with the rest of the circle.

So Ethz (another foodie friend) coordinated with me for a nice place to eat. After a few checks, we came to decide to eat at 30 Kitchen.

Well, Ethz did some research and as per her, 30 Kitchen had good reviews. So we went there last 08/14/2013 to have our dinner.

The restaurant was located at The Gallery, Lahug Cebu City. It was kindda small so if you are planning to have like 10-20 people, you might think twice spending it there. What caught our attention was the chair inside the resto. It was short like a kiddie chair wahaha.. You can barely lend back cause you might fall.

After we made ourselves comfortable in our seats, we asked for the menu. Well, the prices were in Casa Verda and Mooon Cafe range. So, we ordered the following :
  • Pork Steak - common dish so I want to know how they prepare this

  • Pork Schnitzel - sounds foreign for me :)
  • Belly Crunch - sound new to me as well :)

After 15-20 mins, our orders arrived. The Belly Crunch dish was good for two I guess. Then proceeded with the nam-nam session (eating).

So here's what I could say.
  • Pork Steak - I have eaten pork steak before but this is different. I loved the sauce. A very delicious combination of the pork and the sauce.
  • Pork Schnitzel - A very tasty combination of pork and sauce as well. The sauce in this dish was a lot creamier than the later.
  • Belly Crunch - more like a battered beef to me. It was tasty as well.

All in all, we were satisfied for the dishes we ordered. We had good time also talking about things had happened in the past few months that we haven't seen each other.

So that concludes my visit in 30 Kitchen.

Last Jan 13, 2011, me and my friends went to this awesome place in Lapu-Lapu City called MB's Tavern which serves German cuisineIn the morning, you barely see people coming here. But at night time, this resto goes full house.

On the Platter
The Famous Sketti (Left)
Since my friends visit here often, they were the ones who gave the orders. As seen from top picture was their famous "The Sketti". And after eating it, it stopped me from wondering why it was famous. It was delicious!. Quite different from your usual spaghetti.

The whole group order
I did not get the info on the prices for each dish that we ordered. But I am definitely sure that it was affordable and worth the price.

And they also got billiards table so your friends can play and hangout! All this made MB's Tavern a must-go place for Foodies like me! I had a wonderful food experience. Hoping to drop by here soon.

I recalled my Valentine's day last February 14. Since, me and my friend wanted to have night out. We dined at Chowabungga (near Mango branch). Chowabungga (AsiaTown IT Park branch) gave me a good culinary experience. So I was thinking I will have the same experience here. But I was wrong. The servers were not accommodating. It's as if they don't want us to be there. Or either we just arrive at the wrong time. Well, they should have closed down if they didn't want customers. I was holding my temper thinking that they might had a very good reason to us like that. So I ordered a dish different from what I usual order.

The food were just okay. But the place and the servers ate my patience.

After a dinner, our group decided to eat some desserts. And luckily, we passed by this pastry store, La Marea. I've heard they served one of the must-taste desserts. So we stopped by and decided to try on some of their pastries.

One of their best sellers is the brownie on cup which I gladly ordered. And my chocolate brownie on cup was delicious!

Here's another brownie on cup.

The desserts were great and had a great time!

As part of my graduation blowout for my sis, the whole family had dinner at Radisson Blu's Feria. I chose here since most of the people that had dinner here had wonderful culinary experience. Well, setting aside the price of the buffet, we were all excited what will be served here. The hosts were pretty much accommodating to us ,who appeared more like lost kids rather than customers. As we were guided to our table, I cant helped but be amused in the resto's set up. On our seats, we weren't sure when to start and where to start cause nobody knows how things work here. So, I asked the host if I can get to taste all the dishes. And gladly, she smiled and said "Yes, Sir". So, I hurriedly grab a plate and started getting food.

The Pasta and Salad

Defining Asia with Beef, Pork and Chicken
One of the interesting food in this buffet was the cheese. It was my first time to see different types of cheese. So I get tiny slices each.
Cheese and More Cheese

Blue cheese made me think of Survivors when people get to eat exotic food. This was so smelly. And the taste was so strong too. I almost give up on this tiny slice.
Blue Cheese
Desserts were one of the tastiest treats I had here. I will let the pictures tell my story.

I was like a kid when I saw this one. WOAH! CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN! I grabbed some chunks of fruits and started dipping it on this yummy choco fountain.
Chocolate Fountain
I wouldn't miss trying these tasty treats!
more more desserts

Luckily, we got to see some kind of a geisha dance and some samurai action while dining.

Expensive? Yes. When we dined here it was Php 1800 per head. But I guess from the ambiance of the place, the accommodation, international buffet, and the dance/action performance, I could say its totally worth it. I went home full and satisfied. Everyone had a great dining experience at Feria. Surely, a must-go place when you want to try some interesting food and good service.

My stomach was looking for something new so I asked my friends for suggestions. And one of them told me to try out Mongolian style cuisine which brought me in the care of Kublai Khan's restaurant in Ayala Center Cebu. Actually, I was pretty hesitant to try this new style since my stomach got worked up with Thai cuisine , which they say was quite similar to what they offered here. But out of curiosity and peer pressure, me with a friend dined in here.

Well, on the outside its like your usual fast food set up. But when you go in, something about they offer draws the line of difference. There's an area in the resto where you got to choose what to include in your meal. For those strong at heart and stomach, you can choose and instruct them to cook it for you. You can have any combinations you like. Actually, your cash is the limit. But for those with tight pockets like me, there's a piece of paper at the counter where you got to choose items to have a Php 150 meal.

Funny it may seems but I was so cautious on what to check. I was asking my friend if this and that tastes fine. It was like taking an exam but this time if you pick the wrong mix, you will find yourself in the four corners of the rest room.

After careful choosing, we had it over at the counter and paid. Then returned to our seats. Both me and my friend were excited what will the outcome of what we selected. And after 20-30 minutes or so, A last! our food was served at our table.

At first look, it was edible and smelled good. I tasted a small amount and it was delicious!!!. It was a good mix!! All in all, it was a good dining experience to try Mongolian cuisine for the first time. And good thing, I didn't ruined my stomach.

To those who are fan of Asian cuisine, you got to try the food here! If you are brave enough, don't do what we did and make your own mix!

Bon Appetit.
