As part of a celebration, me and my workfriends went out and eat at Mamma Maria's Pizzeria   (G/F Skyrise 1 Asia Town IT Park Branch). We underestimated the serving size thinking we were too hungry to not finish a 13xxl (good for 12 people). We were just 5 people but without hesitation, we ordered a 30inch pizza as seen in the picture. I am not that fond of pizza but this one is really good. This order also comes with 2 1.5L-bottle of softdrinks of your choice. This cost us Php 1,135. We ate 2/3 and brought the rest home. The staff were pretty much accommodating. I went home so full and happy! Try this guys and I dare you on the Pizzeria Challenge!

When I saw someone posted this on Facebook, I thought this was some book. Sooner I knew that it's one of the pastry shops here in Cebu. Amazingly, the shop was located near my usual route going to school.

Thanks to my supervisor, I got to taste these tasty treats yesterday! My favorite was cupcake on the left side of the picture below. I guess its Triple Chocolate. [sorry, i'll update this as soon as I can get the names of the cakes tsk tsk.] Actually, all the cupcakes taste so good. As per price is concern, according to my supervisor, this cost Php 50 each. For me, it's really worth the price!

Countryside Trips: Baguio's Pink Taho
Strawberry Taho @ Burnham Park

One of the delicious treats I tasted from the City of Pines is this Strawberry Taho. Unlike the usual taho that got sugar syrup, this one had strawberry syrup instead. This is surely a must-try food here. Walking and watching the scene in Burnham Park while drinking this, Pretty CO_OL! Hope I can spend another week there!!.  Till then ...

A blog on food, cuisine, bars and restaurants

I've been hearing a few new places to hang-out and one just close from my crib. So after a friendly invite, our group came into this place and had a great time at NorthPerk Billiards.

This bar is located near the old Mandaue Public Market. All jeepneys bound to Mercado Mandaue will never miss passing this place. And its huge Label won't let you miss it too. You can see it on your right side. And for all those who easily gets lost like me, sit at the left side so you'll be facing the right side. Okay?

This bar offers an area to listen for band music, rooms for karaoke, and billiard tables. They offer limited dish and drinks. So don't expect that they have everything here.

If you are around Mandaue area and looking for a cool place to have fun while listening a good music or singing your heart out, drop by here!

Last Jan 13, 2011, me and my friends went to this awesome place in Lapu-Lapu City called MB's Tavern which serves German cuisineIn the morning, you barely see people coming here. But at night time, this resto goes full house.

On the Platter
The Famous Sketti (Left)
Since my friends visit here often, they were the ones who gave the orders. As seen from top picture was their famous "The Sketti". And after eating it, it stopped me from wondering why it was famous. It was delicious!. Quite different from your usual spaghetti.

The whole group order
I did not get the info on the prices for each dish that we ordered. But I am definitely sure that it was affordable and worth the price.

On the Platter

And they also got billiards table so your friends can play and hangout! All this made MB's Tavern a must-go place for Foodies like me! I had a wonderful food experience. Hoping to drop by here soon.

I recalled my Valentine's day last February 14. Since, me and my friend wanted to have night out. We dined at Chowabungga (near Mango branch). Chowabungga (AsiaTown IT Park branch) gave me a good culinary experience. So I was thinking I will have the same experience here. But I was wrong. The servers were not accommodating. It's as if they don't want us to be there. Or either we just arrive at the wrong time. Well, they should have closed down if they didn't want customers. I was holding my temper thinking that they might had a very good reason to us like that. So I ordered a dish different from what I usual order.

The food were just okay. But the place and the servers ate my patience.

After a dinner, our group decided to eat some desserts. And luckily, we passed by this pastry store, La Marea. I've heard they served one of the must-taste desserts. So we stopped by and decided to try on some of their pastries.

One of their best sellers is the brownie on cup which I gladly ordered. And my chocolate brownie on cup was delicious!

The desserts were great and had a great time!

Stressed from all the work in the office, me and my work friends wanted something different from what we usually consume everyday. And one of them suggested authentic japanese food. When I heard the word "Japanese food", ramen came into my mind. Then, everyone agreed to have dinner at 168 Ramen House in Banilad Town Center.

When we came in, the staff where accommodating and prepared our table.

I love the white towel. Feels good in the hands
This is my first time to eat ramen. So I was asking my friends what they would prefer. And so, I ordered this one. And I was served with this big bowl of ramen after 10-20 minutes.

My Ramen

I was having hard time with chopsticks but these ladies were good!

Another Ramen
Look how big my smile/smirk is! It was delicious and also had a great time spending with friends at work.

One of my friends who had tried other restos that serves authentic Japanese cuisine says this store sells one of the best. And based on experience, I suggest you try this out and stir your own ramen.

As part of my graduation blowout for my sis, the whole family had dinner at Radisson Blu's Feria. I chose here since most of the people that had dinner here had wonderful culinary experience. Well, setting aside the price of the buffet, we were all excited what will be served here. The hosts were pretty much accommodating to us ,who appeared more like lost kids rather than customers. As we were guided to our table, I cant helped but be amused in the resto's set up. On our seats, we weren't sure when to start and where to start cause nobody knows how things work here. So, I asked the host if I can get to taste all the dishes. And gladly, she smiled and said "Yes, Sir". So, I hurriedly grab a plate and started getting food.

The Pasta and Salad

Defining Asia with Beef, Pork and Chicken
One of the interesting food in this buffet was the cheese. It was my first time to see different types of cheese. So I get tiny slices each.
Cheese and More Cheese

Blue cheese made me think of Survivors when people get to eat exotic food. This was so smelly. And the taste was so strong too. I almost give up on this tiny slice.
Blue Cheese
Desserts were one of the tastiest treats I had here. I will let the pictures tell my story.

I was like a kid when I saw this one. WOAH! CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN! I grabbed some chunks of fruits and started dipping it on this yummy choco fountain.
Chocolate Fountain
I wouldn't miss trying these tasty treats!
more more desserts

Luckily, we got to see some kind of a geisha dance and some samurai action while dining.

Expensive? Yes. When we dined here it was Php 1800 per head. But I guess from the ambiance of the place, the accommodation, international buffet, and the dance/action performance, I could say its totally worth it. I went home full and satisfied. Everyone had a great dining experience at Feria. Surely, a must-go place when you want to try some interesting food and good service.

My stomach was looking for something new so I asked my friends for suggestions. And one of them told me to try out Mongolian style cuisine which brought me in the care of Kublai Khan's restaurant in Ayala Center Cebu. Actually, I was pretty hesitant to try this new style since my stomach got worked up with Thai cuisine , which they say was quite similar to what they offered here. But out of curiosity and peer pressure, me with a friend dined in here.

Well, on the outside its like your usual fast food set up. But when you go in, something about they offer draws the line of difference. There's an area in the resto where you got to choose what to include in your meal. For those strong at heart and stomach, you can choose and instruct them to cook it for you. You can have any combinations you like. Actually, your cash is the limit. But for those with tight pockets like me, there's a piece of paper at the counter where you got to choose items to have a Php 150 meal.

Funny it may seems but I was so cautious on what to check. I was asking my friend if this and that tastes fine. It was like taking an exam but this time if you pick the wrong mix, you will find yourself in the four corners of the rest room.

After careful choosing, we had it over at the counter and paid. Then returned to our seats. Both me and my friend were excited what will the outcome of what we selected. And after 20-30 minutes or so, A last! our food was served at our table.

At first look, it was edible and smelled good. I tasted a small amount and it was delicious!!!. It was a good mix!! All in all, it was a good dining experience to try Mongolian cuisine for the first time. And good thing, I didn't ruined my stomach.

To those who are fan of Asian cuisine, you got to try the food here! If you are brave enough, don't do what we did and make your own mix!

This is one of the best morning snacks I had in the office. Yes! you read it right. A snack. This mouth watering combo of Rice + Tuna with Egg defines my morning every from late January to early May. This cost as much as Php 25-30. And as always, eating becomes more fun if you are with acquaintances and friends.

Note: A friend of mine also cooked Tuna with Egg but added cheese on it. And its delicious! Try it!
